Oluwafeyikemi's Story: From Achieving Childhood Dream to Changing Migrants & International Students' Lives
Tamakloe Oluwafeyikemi is the Head of People & Operations and a multitask leader who ensures every customer's problem is solved within minutes. As a leader, Pay4Me has been able to complete cross-border transactions within 10 minutes.

Hi Feyi, can we get to know you?
Hi Guys, My name is Feyikemi, An MSc Finance student at Nottingham Trent University, UK. I wanted to be a Banker while growing up, I achieved this as I once worked with Heritage Bank Plc, and now I have bigger dreams.
What’s the most interesting thing about you?
The most interesting thing about me is that I am accommodating and a friend to all.
Tell us about your study abroad journey
The journey started in 2020 when I gained admission, but due to lack of funds, I had to defer my admission to 2022. So I worked and saved for at least my deposit, visa fee, and the preliminary stage basically while I hustled for the rest.
Did you encounter any problems while preparing for your study abroad journey?
Yesso, A lot of problems, especially funding and international payments.
What were the difficulties you experienced on your first few weeks abroad?
My transition was easy, and I was able to adapt. The major issue was the transportation system, How to find my way around, Shopping and communication, as most people here will be like they don't understand my accent and my mind.
I am like, excuse me, bro, no be English I dey talk loll you know these things.
How did you overcome these problems?
I learned how to use Google Map better to navigate my way better. I also learned from my friend how to get to places and lists of cheap stores for students, and I take my time to speak clearly and audibly for them to understand.
Interesting, what’s your Pay4Me story, and how long have you been here?
I have been in Pay4Me since 2020, the inception of the App was all like a play and testing if it could really work since most of us were experiencing this international payment difficulty, and I am glad it is now a reality, solving problems and putting a smile on thousands of people face.
What does a typical workday look like for you?
A typical workday starts by checking the orders at the backend, approving transactions, responding to emails, and checking on all my staff while I process the payments.
What’s your most exciting moment in Pay4Me?
My most exciting moment was the day I got the news that we made It to TechStars Chicago. It was a confirmation of the greatness to come for the company.
How has working at Pay4Me made you a better employee?
Working here has made me a better employee as it has helped me improve and grow my skills better, improve my networking and people skills, and make me a more tech-inclined person.
What advice would you give your 16-year-old self?
My 16-Year-old me, there is nothing you cannot achieve once you put your mind to it but most importantly, never be afraid of TRYING. The worst you can get is a No.
What can you tell someone who wants to relocate abroad but have limited funds?
Don't be in a rush plan from now. Make saving your best friend, and don't depend on a source of income. Multiple income streams are the way but importantly, select a flexible country with good policy to support you, and don't wait till you have the complete money. Start small. Baby stepssssss.
